Maria Yanna

While most of Maria’s high school classmates dreaded accounting class, Maria found herself looking forward to it. The concepts made sense to her, and she was intrigued by their real-world applications. Upon enrolling at UW-La Crosse, she quickly declared accounting her major.

As a senior accountant at JAK, Maria enjoys using her knowledge to help business owners understand how accounting and tax changes could impact their businesses. Even in the throes of a hectic tax season, Maria has a smile on her face.

Maria grew up in a suburb of Madison, Wisconsin, and moved to Minneapolis after graduating from college in 2019. She and her adorable rescue pup, Milo, love exploring the city’s many dog parks and dog-friendly breweries and restaurants. Whenever she can, Maria leaves town to visit her numerous family members and friends, who are scattered across the country. A hike in a nearby national park is always on her travel itinerary.
