You have (requirements):

  • Bookkeeping experience utilizing both Sage and Quickbooks
  • Sales tax filing and ability to track and research rates for multiple counties

You will (job responsibilities):

  • Handle accounts receivable, including record client payments received via check, ACH or credit card, prepare monthly statements, call on past due accounts as requested and track accounts turned over to collection agency
  • Process accounts payable checks and electronic payments, making sure all payments have proper supporting documentation
  • Track and prepare sales and use tax reports
  • Record general journal entries, deposits and payments in Sage and Quickbooks
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements and visa statements
  • Prepare invoices for our subsidiaries Cyber Solutions, LLC and Cyber IT, LLC utilizing their specific software
  • Learn our practice management software and be responsible for specific entries and reports
  • Process and assemble tax returns of all types for our clients
  • Prepare year-end 1099s
  • Assist with answering phones, greeting clients, and maintaining a professional office
  • Communicate (both verbal and written) with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts
  • Show ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and ask questions when needed

Other:

  • Occasional overtime required mainly during tax season which is January 15th – April 15th. Some Saturdays will be required during this time as well

A Senior Accountant with a Tax emphasis is responsible for organizing and coordinating clients’ tax data for the accurate and timely completion of individual, corporate, partnership and S corporation returns. Performs most work assigned with minimal assistance from a higher level tax professional. Will provide assistance to less experienced tax preparers. Seniors are expected to handle moderately complex tax matters.

A Senior Accountant in our Audit & Assurance department performs most work assigned with a minimum of assistance.   • Monitors CCH Workflow software to ensure all tax projects are tracked through tax preparation and delivery process.
  • Prepares annual staff evaluations and engagement performance reviews.
